Our hospital is unique in Queensland in having the only dedicated private inpatient service for the treatment of post-natal mental health disorders. In addition, we're one of only two services in Australia offering specialist treatment in dissociative disorders.
We accept both private and self-insured patients. We also welcome eligible veterans' and war widows under our Tier 2 provider relationship with the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA).
Belmont Private is highly committed to the ongoing development of our staff to ensure we continue to be at the leading edge of our field. We're well supported in this regard by the Cannan Institute, an on-site educational and research program for mental health and psychiatric disorders.
In addition, as a partner with a number of major universities in Queensland, we're actively involved with the under-graduate and post-graduate education of health professionals from medicine, nursing, psychology, occupational therapy and social work disciplines.
